??The Myriad-pine Temple lies at the mid-level section, and was first built in the Guanzheng Period of the Tang Dynasty, once called Lijing Monastery, then, Guard-general Monastery. In the 44th year of the Kangxi Period, Emperor Kangxi visited here and conferred a horizontal tablet on which The Myriad-pine Temple was written, because there were number of pine trees around the temple. The main buildings consist of the Hall of Mahavira, the Depositary of Buddhist sutras, the Jade Buddha Hall, the Buddha-statue Temple, the Bell and Drum Tower and the temple gates. The Camel Rock and the Phoenix-flying Pine are vagarious and exclusive. The temples’ appearance is majestic-looking and the Buddha statues are stately, and it’s really the first Buddhist temple in the area of east Beijing.
